It is the second most successful game ever and it still gets played today by many people. You may think that League Of Legends (LoL) or Dota 2 are better choices for an RTS game because they are more popular than StarCraft 2 at this moment in time. However, I would still recommend StarCraft 2 over them because it’s easier to learn how to play and there aren’t as many bugs in this version compared to LoL or Dota 2
